Class Time: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Benefits for Students:

  1. Structured Learning Time: Hosting classes from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM provides a structured, focused learning period immediately after school. This timing ensures that students transition smoothly from their academic environment to an engaging, hands-on program without the lengthy gaps that can lead to loss of motivation.

  2. Peak Energy Levels: Many students find that their energy levels and attention span are still high during this early afternoon slot, making it an optimal time for absorbing new information and skills. Engaging in interactive and physical activities like wilderness survival skills can be more effective when students are not yet fatigued from the school day.

  3. Skill Development: With a one-hour class, students have enough time to delve into practical skills and receive immediate feedback, allowing them to gradually build and refine their competencies each week. This consistent schedule helps them develop a routine and stay committed to their learning goals.

Benefits for Parents:

  1. Convenient Scheduling: The 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM timeframe fits well within the after-school window, allowing parents to pick up their children shortly after the school day ends. This eliminates the need for additional arrangements or extended care, making it a convenient option for busy families.

  2. Immediate Transition: This timing ensures that youth transition directly from school to an enriching extracurricular activity without the need for extended waits or interruptions. Parents can feel confident that their children are engaged in a productive and beneficial program right after school.

  3. Enhanced After-School Routine: By participating in this program, students maintain a structured after-school routine that combines academic achievement with practical skills. Parents can appreciate the balance of educational and developmental activities that contribute positively to their child’s growth and interests.

  4. This thoughtfully scheduled class time helps foster a smooth transition between school and extracurricular activities, benefiting both students and parents by ensuring productive use of time and enhancing the overall after-school experience.
